There is a gap between the word and the thing. Though this blog has been quiet for some time, FERRY has been carrying on relentlessly with its varied activities. A few weeks ago, FERRY got together to celebrate 30 years in the field.
Here are a few words on what transpired from Saugata:
For those who missed this event (in Khanyan on Sunday, March 2, 2014) let me inform you that it was one of the most well planned and well-executed events of FERRY... A few things need to be specially mentioned -
1) Participants were very attentive throughout the event, even though lectures were the major part of it. There was no side talking.
2) Even if we did not ask anyone to pay Rs 50/- while registering (I mean we did not remind them while they were registering) many of them gave Rs 50/-, 100/- and even 400/-!
3) We saw some FERRY bags made of Jute which looked like some expensive branded saree bags. The tailoring kits were given in these bags.
4) The cultural program was very versatile and overall enjoyable.
5) Madhab-da looked very tired and said he was awake almost through the night (which he spent at the library).
6) The food was good. It was served by some uniformed professionals.
And here are some comments from Nikhilesh:

The afternoon session concluded with some well-choreographed dances. I am happy to report that the audience stayed till the end. We ended with a vote of thanks by Madhab-da before I took the microphone one last time to thank Madhab-da and the team of volunteers that was made up of mostly ex-Ferry trainees.
